The expressionist series are similar to many painters of modern art, striving to elicit a response from a viewer on volatile subject matter such as religion, politics, and relationships in a way that relates the concept, yet lets the viewer form his or her own opinions. It is a pretty tricky thing to present good modern art that is original in concept and aesthetics. In the original oil paintings of the abstract series I work purely from an intuitive perspective, taking little stills of the perpetual movement of life and abstracting it through my lens of life experience.
